Protein French Toast

So, here's a quick and easy post workout meal for you made from whey protein powder! Add a little maple syrup on top or do what I did and just make a simple strawberry compote to go with it. Delicious, nutritious and you'll want to make these over and over again! Happy eating!


Ingredients:

2 Scoops - Whey Protein Powder

1/3 Cup (75g) - Almond Milk

2 Whole Eggs

2 Egg Whites (approx. 75g)

1/2 tsp - Ground Cinnamon

1/4 tsp - Ground Nutmeg

4-6 Slices - Whole Wheat Bread


Directions:

  1. First, in a bowl, add your protein powder, nutmeg and cinnamon. Whisk together.

  2. Then, add the almond milk and mix until completely combined.

  3. Add in your whole eggs and egg whites.

  4. Dunk your bread slices into the mixture and let them sit for a few seconds on both sides.

  5. Lay the slices into a lightly greased medium hot pan. Flip when brown.

  6. Best served hot with your favourite fruit or maple syrup. Enjoy!
