I'll keep this short and simple, smoothies are great, but everything in moderation! Food changes depending on whether you eat it raw, blended in a smoothie or cooked, so be sure to always eat all forms of food in order to acquire their maximum benefits!
Ingredients:
Feeling Fresh Smoothie
1 medium to large apple
2 medium carrots
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp - Ground Flax Seeds
1/2 tbsp - Ginger (minced or fresh)
Honey (to taste)
Water
Apple Spinach Smoothie
1 handful of Spinach
1 medium to large apple
2 small to medium-sized pears
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1/2 tbsp - Ginger (minced or raw)
1 tbsp - Ground Flax Seeds
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
A few cubes of ice
Water
Banana Bread Smoothie
1 banana (frozen and chopped)
1/2 cup - Quick Cook Oats (cooked or raw)
1/2 tsp - Ground Cinnamon
1 tbsp - Ground Flax Seeds
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
Almond Milk
Good Morning Smoothie
1 Handful of Spinach
1 Banana (frozen and chopped)
1/2 cup - Mango (frozen)
1/2 cup - Quick Cook Oats (cooked or raw)
1/2 tsp - Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tbsp - Chia Seeds (place in water for 10 minutes before adding to mixture)
1 Scoop - Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
Almond Milk
Directions:
1. Blend ingredients together in a powerful blender.
2. Not necessary, but I like to add the spinach first in the recipes that call for it, but if you have a very strong blender, than it doesn't matter what you put in first.
3. These smoothies are best taken within a few hours. Enjoy them at their peak freshness!
