Skillet Minced Turkey and Cauliflower

"There is no sincerer love than the love of food."

-- George Bernard Shaw

This dish is so easy to put together and really takes no time at all, especially if you're tired and don't want to think too much about what to eat!

All the cooking happens in one pot, the skillet, so cleanup is a breeze.

This recipe works in a frying pan as well, but I just find that browning the cauliflower in the skillet, is easier to do. Besides, it doubles as a great-looking serving dish!

All, right, enough chit chat, on to the food!

Ingredients:

2-3 tbsp - Sesame Oil

1/2 a head of Cauliflower (cut in small florets)

Salt (to taste - when browning the cauliflower)

1 pk - Minced Turkey

1 tbsp - Onion Powder

1 tbsp - Garlic Powder

Salt (to taste)

1/2 can - Black Beans

Directions:

1. Cut half of the cauliflower into small florets, and wash and drain the black beans.

2. In the skillet, already set to medium high heat, add in the sesame oil.

3. Add florets and allow them time to brown. A little char is all right!

4. Once your florets are done, put them on a plate and set them aside temporarily.

5. Add your minced turkey to the skillet. No need to wash it before! Give the turkey a few minutes to begin browning before adding in the spices and the black beans.

6. Once everything has been added, turn the heat down to medium, and give the turkey a few more minutes to fully cook through. There should be no pink meat!

7. After, move the turkey and black bean mixture to one side of the skillet and add the cauliflower back in on the other half. Serve and enjoy!
