Christmas Stuffing

“It's too bad we're not all teddy bears. More stuffing would only make us cuter and cuddlier.”

I really hope you enjoy eating this because once you see how easy it is to make, Christmas may come early all the time!

Ingredients:

1 cup - Butter (non-salted)

2 stalks of Celery (chopped)

1/2 Onion (chopped)

1 tbsp - Parsley (fresh is best!)

1 tbsp - Thyme

2 tsp - Salt (or to your taste)

1 tsp - Black Pepper

2 packs - Crackers (non-salted tops. I always use Christie Premium Plus)

1/2 cups - Water

Directions:

  1. Add the butter to a pot on medium-heat. Add the celery, and spices. Do not add the salt if you are using salted butter and/or salted crackers.

  2. Crush your packs of crackers either with your hands or a rolling pin. A mix of small and large pieces is great for texture, but the choice is ultimately yours.

  3. Once the butter has all melted, add the crackers to the pot and stir until all the crushed crackers are covered in butter. Allow a little browning.

  4. Add the water a little at a time while continuing to stir. Once the water has evaporated, pour the stuffing into a pan and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. If it gets too brown during this time, you can add a cover or foil to stop that from happening.

  5. Serve right away with your rice, veggies and whatever protein you are indulging in at this time of year!
